There are two car parks to choose from for Southerndown beach parking: Beach Road Car Park and Dunraven Car Park. I parked in Beach Road because the views were the best as this one is at the top of the cliff and then we took a nice stroll down the Dunraven trail.

What happened Dunraven Castle?
It was lived in until after the Second World War, having been used as a military hospital. The house was demolished in 1963. The castle’s walled garden, gatehouse and several other structures survive and are part of the Glamorgan Heritage Coast.
