What happens if you miss the IDoc deadline?

If you miss the deadline, your provisional award information may arrive after your admissions decision. However, you are still eligible to apply for financial aid, and your award will not be reduced because of late submission.

You can create a FAFSA or CSS Profile on your own initiative, but IDOC requires that schools select you to participate.

Are IDoc and CSS the same?

As opposed to the CSS Profile and the FAFSA which send a report of your information to colleges, IDOC allows you to submit those documents directly via a secure portal. If IDOC is required, you will be notified via your College Board account as to what documents are needed to be uploaded.

Is IDoc part of CSS Profile?

The College utilizes the College Board’s Institutional Documentation Service, known as IDOC (pronounced “eye-dok”) to receive and process the financial aid application materials that accompany the CSS Profile and the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
